A true visionary, Mr. Burnett, the founder of reality television and by extension the inspiration for the creation of the Reality Cares Foundation, has long used his “unscripted drama” series television productions to raise vital funds and awareness for AIDS research and prevention and other “real” causes.  Mr. Burnett exemplifies the mission of the Reality Cares Foundation, which is to inspire a new spirit of philanthropy among a younger group of television stars and viewers. We are honored to have Mr. Burnett accept the award.
